AN EPIC MOROCCO SURF HOLIDAY EXPERIENCE

Welcome to our Taghazout Surf Camp.

We are stoked to have you here, and look forward to taking you on an unforgettable adventure. Our budget packages are tailor-made to give you not only the most amazing Morocco surf holiday at an affordable price, but also an authentic experience of the local culture, bites and sites in the tranquil south of Morocco. Just 30 minutes north of Agadir City, which is easily accessible by local bus or taxi, our Surf Hostel is based in the fishing village of Taghazout, a surfer’s paradise offering some of the best waves in Morocco. During Moroccan (or European) winter, the Moroccan coast is blessed with Atlantic swells, Point, Beach and Reef breaks, and surfers from all over the world flock here each season to test their skills, and soak up the sun and culture.

From our rooftop terrace at our Taghazout Surf Camp, you can get a clear view of all the major surf spots of Taghazout - Anchor Point, Hash Point, Panorama, Devil’s Rock producing a long right hander peeling off the rocks, and Mysteries, are all within walking distance of surf house in Taghazout. We are a fully licensed and registered company affiliated to the Moroccan Surf & Body Board Federation.

Our family-run business prides itself on our 10 year long history of providing stress-free holidays. Our friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, professional surf lessons and daily traditional Moroccan meals cooked by our local chef have earned us a great reputation as a Taghazout Surf camp.

WHAT IS THE SURF AND THE WEATHER LIKE? WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO VISIT?
There’s surf all year round, but it really picks up over the winter months from Nov-Feb. The sun shines for 300 days on average in a year, so it’s sunny! The weather in summer is hot with temps averaging around 35 Celsius, but with some days going into the high 40’s. The water is also warmer, so a thin wetsuit is all you need or just a rashy and boardies. In winter, the average temp is around 20 Celsius, so still not cold. It gets chillier in the mornings and evenings and

the water is decidedly colder, so a wetsuit is a must, unless you’re super hard-core.
WHAT IS MOROCCO LIKE FOR WOMEN?
Foreign women can travel in Morocco without too much hassle. If you are travelling alone, don’t wear anything too revealing. You will get attention wherever you go, but it’s usually no more than comments and general interest. In Taghazout, it is respectful to the locals to cover up when not at the beach. This is not to say you need to be covered from head to toe, but just don’t traipse up and down the main street in only your bikini. If you’re coming or going

through town, it’s best to wear a top and shorts. At the beach you can stay in a bikini all day if you like.
HOW TO REACH TAGHAZOUT?
Reaching Taghzout is quite easy, and there are options to take a Bus, Train or Flight.

Bus - CTM operate a professional bus service connecting almost all the major attractions in Morocco. In most cases, the bus will arrive to Agadir Bus Station, where we arrange your arrival transfer to AdventureKeys. If you prefer to travel by Bus, you can search for schedules at www.ctm.ma

If you are traveling from the North of Morocco, you can also take train to reach Casablanca or Marrakech, and then a CTM or SupraTour bus to Agadir. To check train schedules, visit: www.oncf.ma

If you prefer to fly, we pick you up from Agadir Airport, or you can always take a Taxi on your own.

What people say about us

We had a great time in Taghazout Adventurekeys Surf Camp! We stayed there for three nights, had two very fun days of surfing pitched at our level, and a different and delicious breakfast every single day! I arrived not feeling well, and the staff there were very sweet at looking after me. If you want a chilled holiday, some surfing, and a chance to escape the buzz of the big cities, I would strongly recommend this place!"

IRENE & FRIENDS [SPAIN]
Fun surfing, great food, and well looked after!

I stayed here for a week with some friends from uni! We all had a great time. The food in particular was great, but the highlight of the trip was the HAMMAM! Cheers to Karina for the awesome pics of me surfing too!"

DANIEL G. [ENGLAND]
Good surf, great food, lots of fun

This was my first time in Morocco. I went by myself, as a girl, it was perfectly fine. I never had any surf lessons before, so I went for a 7 day surf trip. The teacher was really nice and I fell in love with surfing!! Staying in the hostel was really good. Everybody working there was really nice. The food was really good as well :-). I would definitely stay here again.

ELIZA S. [NETHERLANDS]
